My Story

I've created this page because I want to make a difference. I'm inspired by the work of Edinburgh Children’s Hospital Charity and wanted to support them by raising money as part of my participation in EMF 2018. Please help me help them by giving whatever you can using the 'Give Now' button. The more people that know about Edinburgh Children’s Hospital Charity, the greater their impact, so please also spread the word by sharing my page with your friends and family. Thank you in advance for your generosity, it means a lot!

Strap on your running shoes, this May MOV8 are running for a worthy cause. We are teaming up with our chosen charity for 2018, Edinburgh Children's Hospital Charity (ECHC).

The Marathon is coming hot on the heels of a successful, if calorific, campaign of an Easter Bake Extravaganza and the Great MOV8 Bake off, raising a fantastic £233.72 for ECHC.

Now for a change of pace, the team are on their marks to run the team relay division of the Edinburgh Marathon Festival on May 27th.

Four teams of four will be running a total distance 26.2 miles, per team,104.8 miles all together.

So place your bets (for charity of course), the teams are as follows:

Scrambled Legs: David, Allan, Sheryl & Steph

Your Pace or Mine: Scott, Emma, Claire Joanna

We thought they said “Rum”: Alan, Erin, Finlay & Emma

One Hit Runners: Beverley, Margarita, Arran & Olivia

So gather up your supporters and your sponsors, the starting gun sounds at 10:00 am.

If you need us, we’ll be at the gym.

ECHC works with, and supports the work of Edinburgh's Royal Hospital for Sick Children, as well as other children's healthcare settings across the country. Their belief, and ours, is that nothing should get in the way of being a child. Their mission is to transform the experiences of children and young people in hospital, so that they can be a patient second, and a child first.
